The Powerlite Audio AMP50 is a monoblock amplifier design utilising the LM3875 chip which has become so popular in high end audio designs such as Gainblocks and Gainclones. Coming pre-assembled, all that is needed to complete one channel of audio is a heatsink, unregulated power supply and a sound source with volume control.

Two AMP50s are required for stereo.

The AMP50 pcb incorporates the shortest signal paths and a large 0V common connection ground plane area. Capacitors are high quality audio grade devices. Resistors are carbon film in the audio path and metal film in the output Zobel network. All these factors enables a transparency and clarity to the audio signal that provides a truly "High Fidelity" listening experience.

Connections are made via gold plated spade terminals for power supply and output. These can either accept standard crimped faston terminals or solder connections.

The PSU50 power supply assembly utilizes discrete schottky diodes to ensure noiseless rectification. Low ESR, large value, audio grade Elna smoothing capacitors provide a flat DC supply with a low impedance audio frequency return path. Like the AMP50, power connections are provided by gold plated spade terminals which can accept crimped faston terminals or solder connections.

One AMP50 and one PSU50 can be used as a monoblock amplifier. Alternatively the PSU50 can power two AMP50s as a stereo configuration. A toroidal transformer is all that is required to complete the power supply.
