Powerlite PicBlock prototyping Modules......
The MC18D accepts 18 pin PICs and provides 6 buffered and filtered digital inputs which will cope with a wide range of input voltages and noisy environments and 6 open collector outputs which can sink up to 500mA each. Power can be AC or DC and both the rectified DC and the regulated 5V supply are vailable for driving external circuits. An on-board reset button is provided as is space for optional output pullup resistors.
Designed for 28 pin PICs, the MC28AD provides 8 buffered and filtered inputs on PORTB which will cope with a wide range of input voltages and noisy environments. PORTA is unfiltered or buffered, allowing I/O or selection of any specific PIC functions. 8 open collector outputs driven by PORTC provide 500mA each. Power supply options are similar to the MC18D. Again and on-board reset button and optional output pullup resistors are provided.
The MC28AD-16 provides direct access to PORTA, PORTB and PORTC 0,1 and 2. RA4, RC3,4 and 5 are used to drive two serial latched darlinton drivers which provide 16 open collector 500mA outputs with optional pull-up resistors. There is an ICSP header as well as an RS232 connector for serial comms or boot-loading. Power can be from an existing 5V supply or there is an on-board 5V regulator, reset button and optioanl external reset line via the RS232 second channel. The regulated 5V is available for driving external circuits.
The MC28AD-USB provides direct access to PORTA, PORTB and PORTC. PORTB is also used to drive an 8 way darlington driver providing 500mA open collector outputs with optional pull-up resistors. An ICSP header is provided as is an RS232 connector for serial comms or boot-loading. When using a suitable PIC, USB connectivity is available via an on-board USB-B socket. Both RS232 and USB connections are selectable, as is the option to power the board via the USB socket, an existing 5V supply or the on-board 5V regulator from a higher DC voltage.
